Two skeet fields and three trap fields, open to members and the public every day we’re open. One round is 25 targets.

Targets come from different machines and angles, so it feels a lot like hunting. A fun way to mix it up with friends.

We’re certified by USA Shooting as a regional training center for Olympic Skeet and Olympic Trap, with our own Olympic Trap (bunker) venue.

Never held a shotgun? First Shots is a one-hour beginner class for $20 with everything included. Private coaching with our certified instructors is available by appointment.

Bring your team, student org or company out for a day on the range. Group rates start at $25 per person, and we host competitions throughout the year.
New to Shooting?
First Shots is a one-hour class with a certified NRA Shotgun Instructor. For $20 you get the gun, ammo, targets, eye and ear protection, a course handbook, and a $25 coupon for your next visit.
On This Ground Since 1942
In 1942 the US Army Air Forces used these grounds to teach aerial gunners how to lead a moving target. After the war it became a civilian gun club, and today Gator Skeet and Trap is a not-for-profit run for our university community.
Our goal hasn’t changed: a friendly, safe place for students, families and shooters of every skill level to enjoy clay target sports.
